一对好朋友 Fred 和 Ted 去雪山旅行，在旅行过程中发生了很多有趣的故事。

Fred and Ted were friends.
Fred 和 Ted 是朋友。
Fred was big.
Fred 个子很大。
Ted was little.
Ted 个子很小。
When they walked in the rain, Fred was wet…
当他们走在雨里时，Fred 是湿漉漉的……
and Ted was dry.
Ted 身上却是干的。
When they painted the house, Fred used green paint.
当他们给房子涂颜色的时候，Fred 用了绿色的颜料。
Ted used red.
Ted 用了红色的。
One day Fred and Ted went away in their cars.
有一天，Fred 和 Ted 乘他们的车离开了。
Ted drove his red car fast.
Ted 飞快地开着他的红色车子。
Fred drove his green car slow.
Fred 缓慢地开着他的绿色车子.
They came to a sign.
他们来到路标处。
"Where should we go?" asked Fred.
“我们应该去哪里？”Fred 问。
"To the mountains,"said Ted.
“去山上吧。” Ted 说。
When they got to the mountains,

Ted skied all day long.
Ted 一整天都在滑雪。
Fred skated all day long.
Fred 一整天都在滑冰。
By night both of them were very sleepy.
等到晚上的时候他们都感觉很困倦了。
"look!" said Fred.
“看！” Fred 说。
"A small hotel!""
“一家小旅馆！”
Fred’s room was upstairs.
Fred 的房间在楼上。
Ted’s room was downstairs.
Ted 的房间在楼下。
"Good night, Ted. Sleep well," said Fred.
“晚安，Ted. 睡个好觉。”Fred 说。
"Good night, Fred. Sleep well," said Ted.
“晚安，Fred. 睡个好觉。”Ted 说。
But they did not sleep well.
但是他们都没有睡好。
Upstairs, Fred thumped and bumped and tossed and turned.
楼上，Fred 砰地摔了一声，翻来覆去睡不着觉。
Downstairs, Ted moaned and groaned and crashed and thrashed all over the bed.
楼下，Ted 抱怨着，在床上乱翻乱撞。
The next morning, Fred said, “My bed is too little!”
到了第二天早晨，Fred 说：“我的床太小了！”
"My bed is too big!" said Ted.
“我的床太大了！” Ted 说。
"I know what to do!" said the bird.
“我知道怎么办了！”小鸟说。
"Ted should sleep upstairs and Fred should sleep downstairs!"
“Ted 应该睡楼上，Fred 应该睡楼下！”
"Back to bed!" yelled Ted.
“回到床上去！” Ted 喊着。
"Back to bed!" yelled Fred.
“回到床上去！” Fred 喊着。
Ted jumped into the little bed upstairs.
Ted 跳进楼上的小床。
And Fred jumped into the big bed downstairs.
Fred 跳进楼下的大床。
Ted slept all day long in the cozy little bed.
Ted 在舒服的小床里睡了一整天。

"Well, that was easy to do.

Big dogs need big beds.
